About the event

This event is an annual fundraiser to support children in need of new athletic shoes for the 2022-23 school year.  From June through September, we will be performing various forms of fundraising to support this initiative.

Your support through our fundraising efforts will be greatly appreciated.  You can support by making a monetary donation by clicking the "donate" key  or support our on-going fundraiser intiatives such as T-shirt purchase, popcorn sales, etc.  You can also donate by sending new athletic shoes to: P.O.Box 1226, Georgetown, KY  40324  ( Most requested sizes:  Boys & Girls Youth - 3,4,5,6 and 1/2 sizes)

The beggining of September, at the conclusion of the fundraising activity, the OBY Team will be following up with multiple School Family Resource Representatives in Lexington, KY and the surrounding counties to identify the children in need.  We will also be contacting schools in other states that support our cause.

Thank you for your on-going support!  We could not do it without you!

What is Jerown's Joy?

Jerown's Joy memorializes the death of the OBY founder's son who  passed away unexpectantly Sept. '2020,    Jerown   had an athletic shoe fedish which started at a very young age because his Mother felt that it was important to take care of his feet. So that became his joy! Prior to his passing, Jerown purchased his Mother a pair of athletic shoes as a retirement gift. Little did she know, six weeks later,  that would be the last gift she would receive from her only son. Therefore, in remembrance of Jerown, OBY sponsors an annual new athletic shoe drive in June, which is Jerown's birth month, for underprivileged children or children in need, to give back to the community that supported a single mother and son in their time of need.
