Girls 5P Empowerment Program: Phase 2

This activity will give participants the ability to apply the 5P key learnings in a controlled-environment.  This activity will enable participants to team build, problem-solve, practice mindfulness and explore different traditional / non-traditional careers / schools.

Activities will consist of college visits, escape rooms, cooking classes, money management classes, nutrition classes, and much, much more!

All meetings will be in-person.  If transportation is a problem, we will work with those families.

 

Meeting Time: 1.5 - 2 hours

Each  meeting consist of 30 minutes of education & instruction and  1 hr.  of Activity & debrief.  

 

Maximum number of participants: 10

Cost:  Free of charge

Food: Snacks will be provided at each meeting

Activity details will be shared with parents 2 weeks prior to the activity date to ensure there's no scheduling issues with the host facility.  All activities will be conducted in a public event facility. (Library, recreation centers, event venues, etc)

Activity Dates: (Times will be determined based on preferred timing that meet parent's schedules - Weekdays 5 or 6PM EST, Weekends: Time will vary based on activity)

Wednesday,  Sept 7th  - Activity #3: Confidence Building Activity

Wednesday, Sept 21st  - Activtiy #5: Team Building Activity

Friday,             Oct 7th  - Activity #6: STEM Activity

Wednesday, Oct 19th  - Activity #7: Money Management Activity
