When does Operation Be You provide programming and events?
Operation Be You offers programming and events year-round, with activities scheduled during the school year, summer months, and special community occasions. Our programs are designed to give girls consistent support, creative experiences, and leadership opportunities throughout the year.
Does Operation Be You provide transportation?
Operation Be You does not provide direct transportation at this time. However, we work closely with families to make participation as easy as possible. For special events, OBY provides transportation when outside of the service area. We encourage families to reach out if transportation is a barrier. Our team will always do our best to help find a solution so girls can fully participate in OBY programs and experiences.
How much does it cost to join Operation Be You?
All Operation Be You’s programs and events are completely free for girls and teens ages 10 – 17. There are no registration fees, no membership costs, and no charges for workshops, outings, nor materials.
OBY is committed to removing financial barriers so every girl, regardless of background or circumstance, can access high-quality empowerment programs, creative experiences, and community support. Our ability to remain free is made possible through donations, grants, and community partnerships that help us provide supplies, teaching artists, meals, transportation support, and safe, welcoming spaces for youth.
Can boys join any of the community events?
Boys and adults are welcome to participate in certain community events, such as our Cursive Writing Clinics and Resource Fairs.
What is the age required to participate in the programs and events?
Operation Be You serves girls ages 10 – 17. Our programs, workshops, cultural experiences, and community events are designed specifically for this age group to support confidence, leadership, creativity, and personal growth.
What volunteer roles are currently available?
Operation Be You welcomes caring, committed volunteers who want to help create safe, joyful, and empowering experiences. Current volunteer roles include – event support, administrative, hospitality and parent engagement as well as facilitators.

Financial donations to Operation Be You directly support free, high-quality empowerment programs for girls and teens in our community. Every dollar helps us create safe, culturally grounded spaces where youth can learn, grow, and express themselves with confidence. Donations support program materials, youth workshops & events, event space, food & hospitality, transportation, guest facilitators and operational needs.
