This special workshop is facilitated by Madison Scruggs, a senior at the University of Kentucky pursuing dual degrees in Marketing and Communication. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Madison created Ready, Set, Period after experiencing moments when she was unprepared for her own period and afraid to ask for help. Those experiences inspired her mission to create safe spaces where young people can ask questions, learn without embarrassment, and gain confidence in understanding their bodies.
As a campus leader and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Madison is passionate about education, service, and community empowerment. Through open conversation and practical education, she helps participants build knowledge, confidence, and preparedness.
