About the event
The Joy and Justice Tour is a free, festival-style event hosted by the Southern Black Girls and Women's Consortium. It features live entertainment, food trucks, and nine dedicated activation zones focusing on STEM, economic empowerment, health, advocacy, beauty, and the arts.
Specific activities include:
Interactive Activation Zones: Attendees can explore designated areas focused on Arts & Culture, Sports, STEM, Nutrition, and Economic Empowerment.
The CROWN Experience: Partnered with Dove, this experience celebrates natural Black beauty, hair authenticity, and self-expression.
Wellness & Advocacy: Activities include health resources, mindfulness and wellness practices, and discussions centered on voter registration and civic action.
Live Entertainment & Connection: A celebratory space featuring sisterhood, live music, and community building where participants are encouraged to gather and celebrate on their own terms.
